RAND is seeking a CTS or CTS-I Certified Lead Audiovisual Technician to enrich our cross-site team. The Lead AV Tech will play a key role in leading, developing and influencing RAND into a new digital generation of AV systems, infrastructure and services. This dynamic role provides creative opportunities for direct support and oversight with operations in our Washington DC, Pittsburgh and Boston offices for live and virtual events, event production and system design.
Knowledge and Skills:
InfoComm CTS or CTS-I Certification required; candidates without certification may have up to 3 months to obtain it after hire
Minimum 2 years AV installation project management experience
Knowledge of basic video shooting and audio and video post-production services
Knowledge of audio digital signal processing (Clearone or Biamp preferred)
Knowledge of AV specific equipment networking deployment and maintenance, including interfacing with existing computer network
PC proficiency: Microsoft Outlook, Word, advanced Excel
Strong customer service skills
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to work flexible hours (some evenings and weekends)
Ability to obtain and/or maintain a valid driver’s license
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Bachelor's Degree preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience 6 years required
U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance
