Information Technology Services at West Vriginia University is seeking applications for a Coordinator of Network Printing – Professional Technologist 2. This position, acting as a team lead, is responsible for coordinating and supporting the day-to-day operational and business activities of the Managed Printing Program across WVU's campuses and satellite locations, and supporting the printing and copying needs of WVU students, faculty and staff.
In order to be successful, the ideal candidate will:
Collaborate with colleagues of all WVU campuses, colleges and departments to identify service issues and improvement opportunities, research, and brainstorm solutions.
Recommend, design and implement processes, workflows and IT systems to support agreed-upon solutions.
Meet with copier vendor, ITS Service Center and Printing operations staff to discuss issues and changes that may affect the managed printing program, and implement approved plans.
Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint, determining the cause of the problem, selecting and explaining the best solution, expediting correction or adjustment, and following up to ensure resolution.
Manage customer communications for new installations, upgrades and repairs.
Advise customers on business processes, coordination requirements and timelines.
Provide guidance for best practices on printer configuration, driver automation and group policy deployment.
Responsible for device installation, setup, monitoring and maintenance for 800+ network ready digital copiers/printers.
Enhance service performance and improve output quality through machine customizations and programming.
Develop, improve and integrate software, processes, workflows and systems necessary to support Managed Printing operations.
Supervise, train and manage staff.
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Two (2) years of customer support experience and information technology experience is required
Preferred qualifications include information technology experience within a large and complex organization and network printing experience
Requirements Valid driver's license
