To establish and develop an organization-wide pricing strategy and model to transform the company, while building a team within an entrepreneurial environment.
The VP of Global Pricing Strategy is responsible for developing, aligning, implementing, and overseeing the execution of Dawn’s global product and service pricing strategies. This role will develop and lead global policies and governance on pricing and develop corporate KPIs and scorecards to review performance. This individual will balance strategic thought leadership and tactical process execution as it contributes in gross margin optimization and the achievement of $3B in revenue over the next 3 years.
POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Lead the development and execution of pricing strategy, processes, and systems
Combine business logic, rigorous analysis, market intelligence, and strategic perspective to develop pricing strategies
Spearhead pricing activities to ensure processes and outcomes are properly aligned with the performance goals of the company
Develop and maintain pricing scorecards to measure effectiveness of price changes, understand pricing results and develop strategies to close gaps
Deliver guidance, governance and support tools that enable front-line management teams to more effectively recommend, present and implement pricing
Establish and enable a network of “pricing champions” who support the pricing processes and advise on key challenges or opportunities
Collaborate with Commercial Leadership, Sales Excellence and Marketing to align sales processes and develop all required documents and tools supporting pricing strategy execution for the market
Serve as a key member of various cross-functional project teams to implement pricing strategy
Manage and influence key stakeholders around implications of pricing strategies, often balancing competing interests
Cultivate and present recommendations to management in a clear, concise, convincing, and actionable format
Offer thought leadership on pricing and business practices
Bachelor degree in a Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline required; MBA preferred
10+ years of experience in pricing, finance and/or related field
5+ years of leadership experience managing cross-functional teams
Extensive experience developing pricing strategies and driving pricing recommendations
Ability to quantify pricing impacts on monthly forecasts, annual and strategic business plans
Strong financial acumen; expertise in cost, pricing and general business management skills
Proven leadership skills with the ability to create and articulate a vision, drive results, and excel in a fast paced, changing environment
Hands-on systems and operations experience
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills; Ability to manage people and projects
Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated ability to solve problems
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint
