Summary: Jobs in this family are responsible for developing, testing,maintaining, installing, and/or deploying of applications and relatedinformation technologies. In addition, they are responsible for theestablishment, development, and promotion of standard architectures, as well ashardware and software components. This role provides consultingservices regarding how to integrate information technologies into clinical andbusiness processes and the effective application of industry and organizationaltechnology standards.
Within the Systems Analyst family, this position is a recognizedexpert on a specific suite(s) of application(s) used within one or moreorganizational unit and mentors less-experienced staff, with responsibility fortheir development. This position has in-depth knowledge of one or morebusiness, clinical or technical area that enhances the IT organization'sunderstanding of legacy and current processes and applications. Expectedactivities include but are not limited to:
Serving as an authority when responding to inquiries intheir area(s) of expertise,
Monitoring the applications and information technologiesdeployed within area(s) of expertise to evaluate their effectiveness.
Working with vendors and other IT personnel to ensuretechnical compatibility and user satisfaction with the applications andinformation technologies deployed within their area(s) of expertise.
Resolution of problems and issues associated with installedapplications and related information technologies.
Diagnosis of failures encountered in application softwareand related technologies.
Quality control of all application implementations/enhancementsprior to release to customers.
Remaining knowledgeable of vendor and technologydevelopments and potential impact on area(s) of expertise.
Assisting IT leadership in the mentoring, education, andtutelage of other IS staff.
Identifies barriers to project success and communicateseffectively about those barriers to the appropriate team members.
Serves as the Project Manager for projects of limitedduration and complexity.
Position requires at least 10 years of direct experience anda high school diploma or equivalent. A BA/BS degree in IS or Business ispreferred.
May have an equivalent combination of education and/orexperience in lieu of education and/or experience stated above.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification:
Epic Tapestry certification preferred.
Epic certification is required within 6 months fromemployment, including 2 test retakes.
