Tradition is currently seeking to appoint a Chief Risk Officer to be based within the London office.
Main responsibilities for the Chief Risk Officer position include:
Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF)
Implement the Group ERMF Adapt Group Policies and Guidelines to fit the local environment Establish Risk Management procedures Training of staff on methodologies and tools Act as liaison and coordinate with the Group Risk Management Unit
Maintain the Group Risk Map approach and guidelines i.e. select the relevant business processes and the related risks for the London entities and maintain local Risk Map Facilitate RCSA process Co-ordinate engagement of business lines and support functions in RCSA Evaluate the efficiency of the existing Risk Mitigation Framework Contribute to the improvements of the Risk Mitigation Framework
Key Risk Indicators (KRI)
Maintain Group KRI approach and guidelines Co-ordinate maintenance of KRI framework Support business lines and support functions in updating / recalibrating KRI's Collate KRI data, analyze trends and prepare KRI inputs to Dashboard Report Co-ordinate 'triggered' responses to KRI trends
Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP)
Coordinate and contribute to the ICAAP document.
Counterparty Risk: Matched Principle and Name Give Up
Approve/Decline Matched Principle Limit requests in coordination with Group Credit Monitor exposure related to the name give up business
Liquidity Risk: Transactional Liquidity Risk
Participation in the formulation and implementation of the Group methodology to monitor transactional liquidity risk
Identification of potential market risk exposures
Management of FX exposure
Collate and analyze all data inputs for consolidated risk dashboard and prepare reports Liaise with report recipients and coordinate any required responses Maintain and improve format or content of dashboard as required by Group Risk Management and Senior Management
Data Loss Collection
Maintain risk categorization and data collection procedures to ensure consistency with Group and FCA requirements Co-ordinate reporting of losses/incidents Support business lines and support functions on inputting loss data Validate incidents and losses collected Analyze loss data against KRI outputs to identify trends, inconsistencies and opportunities for control improvement Prepare inputs to Dashboard report
Liaise with Board in creation and maintenance of Risk Framework
Key skills, experience and competencies required:
Comprehensive risk management experience preferably gained within Investment Banking or Broking environment
Experience of developing and implementing Risk Strategies Strong competency in leadership skills Previous management experience Project management skills Strong understanding of current regulatory framework Excellent coordination and analytical skills A high degree of self-motivation, persuasiveness and team spirit Excellent oral and written skills Approachable to all staff levels in the business globally Innovative and inquisitive nature Ability to work well under pressure Degree educated or equivalent relevant experience
