JOB SUMMARY: The Health and Wellness Director provides management to Baylor Scott & White Health (BSWH) and its employee wellness program(s). Also provides leadership in the development of wellness programs for our businesses, patients, and the community that are aligned with BSWH initiatives. The Director of Health and Wellness is responsible for applying leadership and project management methodologies to drive consistency in the development, attainment and delivery of all wellness programs to Baylor employees and clients.
WHAT IS EXPECTED (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS): Responsible for employee health and wellness program administration including program design, vendor selection, management, communication and financial analysis. Responsibility for the design and development of short- and long-term System strategies around health and wellness and creates the operational business plan; works with System Leadership on the implementation of those identified strategies based on the approved business plan. Responsible to ensure participation in wellness programs which include maximization of engagement with tools and resources, behavior change, reduction of health risks, improvement of overall well-being, and positive healthy lifestyle choices amongst various participant populations. Coordinates with Quality Alliance Team on product line expansion, key tactics, outcomes/metric measurements, and department strategies which improve health, reduce costs, create growth, and meet department/organizational goals and objectives and ensure successful implementation of the health and wellness business plan on a local, regional, and national scale. Provides department operational management. This includes, but is not limited to ensuring products are scalable and standardized, processes are documented and adhered to, customer service issues are identified and addressed, team customer service standards are established, develop/oversee client-relations management tool, and prioritize client needs and department workload. Lead wellness team to ensure objectives and deliverables are met in an accurate, timely, and efficient manner. Oversees Food and Nutrition Services across the System and is responsible for managing selected vendors to ensure desired outcomes are achieved and the operations of each of these areas is aligned with, and in support of, overall BSWH health and wellness strategies. Manage wellness third party vendor relationships; includes management and negotiation of contract pricing, scope of work and vendor performance. Conduct program measurement and data analysis of program costs, metrics and outcomes. Partner with employee benefits team to align the design of medical insurance plans with the wellness strategies. Develops resourcing strategies, allocating budget, staff, tools, and internal support necessary for cost-effective implementation. Provide reports and findings to management and senior leadership teams related to wellness programs and services. Expand awareness in the community of BSWH wellness programs by serving in association leadership roles and engaging in speaking opportunities and build relationships with external organizations interested in health and wellness initiatives.

Bachelor's degree in a health sciences field required.
Master of Public Health is a differentiator.
Minimum of one year Wellness Coordinator or similar experience.
3 to 5 years' experience in a corporate environment, preferred.
