The IBOR Transition Programme is an enterprise-wide initiative, impacting businesses, functions and customer segments across the globe. It is responsible for leading and centrally co-ordinating SCBs efforts to transition away from LIBOR. The Programme sits within the Group COO.
The IBOR Technical Lead will need to combine technical know-how and business knowledge with leadership ability.
The IBOR Technical Lead will report directly to the IBOR Programme Director. The role will be based in London.
The IBOR Technical Lead will be expected to work with business leads to meet the objectives of key workstreams.
The role will involve close partnership with front-line leads and leads from second-line functions including Risk and Compliance, Finance, Product Control, Operations and Technology. In this newly mobilised team, this role enables a high profile and very high visibility opportunity. Responsibilities
The team is looking for a strong, multi-faceted technical lead having worked in the front-line across multiple products whose responsibilities include:
Understanding products referencing LIBOR and the bookings representing the legal contract
Drive the delivery of the technical deliverables within the trading platforms (Murex, ACBS) and functional systems
The candidate must be a self-motivated and proactive with ability to work in a fast-paced environment against an uncertain regulatory back-drop. Additional qualifications:
Knowledge of interest-rate derivatives, securities, treasury, loan syndication, capital markets, corporate finance, global banking, corporate banking, transaction banking, retail, private and wealth
Experienced in front-to-back business and functional process project experience
Prior experience working on regulatory transformation initiatives preferred
Understanding of SCBs trading platforms and database architecture
Understanding of Trade Life Cycle across different products (Pricing, Booking, Validation, Confirmation, Settlements, Accounting, Reporting, Events, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Market Data, etc) and how these are booked and reflected in SCBs systems

Working with business and functional leads to support their gap analysis and actions
Engage with leads for the creation and approval of core project documentation including business requirements, functional requirements, technical specifications, user acceptance testing
Perform high quality project management, resources, scope, and quality, work closely with development and testing teams as the project crosses milestones towards delivery
Build and maintain partnerships with stakeholders, leads and SMEs
Enable communication across workstreams by facilitating forums, ensure normalisation of RAIDs analysis and enable escalation
Identify, track and resolve issues and risks related to the program
Monitor project plans to ensure projects will deliver high-quality and efficient work
