Cornell Tech is seeking a full-time Digital Communications Assistant with impeccable digital, design, writing and organizational skills. The assistant will be an integral part of the External Relations team as we scale and develop digital strategy and brand communications for our growing campus. In addition, the assistant will gain an understanding of content strategy, project management, digital infrastructure planning, social media management, and more.
Make updates to the website, modify templates and modules as needed. Maintain and update all web copy, making sure information is updated routinely as needed.
Pitching, writing, and editing content for the campus blog; covering events and programs at Cornell Tech.
Learn Cornell Tech's style guide to serve as proofreader of web content.
Maintain Cornell Tech's talking points and online brand guide.
Assist in managing day to day responsibilities for social media channels including monitoring mentions, creating reports, and posting media highlights
Manage all image requests and digital assets for the campus, tagging with appropriate metadata and archiving in campus photo library (BOX) and university photography library (WIDEN).
Assist on photo and video shoots
Associate's degree in relevant field and 2 to 4 years of experience in communications, design, project management, digital asset management.
Highly proactive, organized, efficient, detail-oriented, able to follow detailed instruction.
Proven ability to multitask successfully and meet deadlines
Exceptional writing, communication, and design skills.
Experience with Asana or similar project management tools.
Experience managing content in a CMS.
Self-driven, capable of taking ownership of tasks and seeing them through to delivery
Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
Additional relevant experience.
Working knowledge of AP Style. Experience with Wordpress.
Experience with Adobe Create Suite (Photoshop, Bridge, and Illustrator).
