Trade Association in Arlington, VA is seeking a sales professional to lead our nondues revenue sales efforts. Responsibilities include exhibit and sponsorship sales for the industry’s primary convention/trade show, CAMX – The Composites and Advanced Materials Expo, and various other conferences, events and educational products, as well as digital and print advertising sales for our publications. This includes prospecting, renewals, and development of sales plans and strategies. Must work as an integral member of team with other sales, marketing and operations staff. Must also be able to reach decision makers in organizations, establish relationships with all levels within an organization and communicate effectively orally and in writing. Includes:
Exposition management including floor plan design, booth assignment and development and implementation of exhibit contract policies.
Advertising sales including the development of packages and sales product offerings.
Produces sales reports as requested and uses Sales Force, Map Your Show and association databases to track sales progress and account management.
In conjunction with marketing staff, create exhibitor and sponsorship marketing plans and messages, and assist in the development of printed and electronic collateral.
Works with Operations staff in the development of the sponsorship program and delivery of exhibitor/sponsor programs.
Develops and implements sales processes.
Develops prospect lists.
Travel to customer visits, events, industry tradeshows for outbound sales opportunities and other meetings as necessary. Makes outbound sales calls.
Works with sales staff for ACMA membership to share best practices, information on customers, and to provide sales packages as appropriate.
Proven sales success required. Must be a strong team player and be willing to work with all staff for the betterment of the organization and its products and events. The ideal candidate will demonstrate creativity and strategic thinking, will have an interest in the composites industry and stay appraised of trade show and meeting industry best practices. They will also excel in both a self-driven and team environment. College degree required.
