IELTS USA is seeking a Graduate Program & Research Manager to join our team. The Graduate Program & Research Manager may be based in Los Angeles, CA or New York, NY. Additionally, other locations may be considered.
The Graduate Program & Research Manager plans and implements a strategy designed to increase the growth of graduate education stakeholders within the US. He/she plays an integral role in the success of the IELTS USA Higher Education team and is responsible for maintaining relationships with current graduate stakeholders, as well as developing relationships with new graduate stakeholders in the US. The Graduate Program & Research Manager will: use excellent presentation and communication skills to deliver targeted IELTS presentations and demonstrations; resolve customer service issues in a timely manner; and provide prospective stakeholders with the tools needed to make informed decisions regarding IELTS recognition policies.
The Graduate Program & Research Manager will also lead the development of IELTS’ US Research Agenda, which includes: the cultivation of research projects in relation to international student enrollment at US institutions; and promotion of opportunities for graduate stakeholders and research entities to conduct research on IELTS.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with Director, Higher Education and Executive Director in developing and maintaining a strategic management plan for graduate education recognition accounts and services that directly support graduate education and other key stakeholders.
Develop new opportunities with US higher education stakeholders by actively identifying strategic gaps in the use of IELTS by graduate programs, by cultivating prospective stakeholders within graduate schools and programs, and by building rapport with key decision makers, and ultimately gaining their recognition.
Plan campaigns with the goal of obtaining recognition policy forms from graduate education entities and the adoption of other complimentary services provided by IELTS.
Represent IELTS professionally to stakeholders via e-mail/phone, conference booths/exhibits, on-campus meetings, webinars, and workshops. Review trade association activity and opportunities; craft and submit conference proposals.
Shape presentations and collateral content in collaboration with the IELTS USA Marketing team. Deliver presentations on IELTS to higher education stakeholders in person and online.
Collaborate as and when needed with Associate Regional Managers and the ESL Program & Research Manager to develop and deliver on-campus events. Lead informational sessions on campus & engage with researchers on campus, with the goal in support of comprehensive recognition and use of IELTS.
Work in collaboration with the Director, Higher Education and Assistant Recognition Managers to build yearly Stakeholder Workshop program and supporting collateral with a focus on developing IELTS knowledge among constituents in key markets. Work in collaboration with the Relationship and Data Support Specialist to provide follow-up to attendees from the assigned territory.
Represent IELTS USA on the Global IELTS Joint Research Council with the ESL Program Development and Research Manager, seeking that group’s consultation on the IELTS USA research agenda; serve as the in-house expert on IELTS studies on international student enrollment management.
Under the direction of the Director, Higher Education, manage the work of external consultant research firms and institutional researchers as assigned on studies featuring IELTS use in the United States.
Convey graduate stakeholders’ critical issues timely and accurately to the team, handle stakeholders professionally, and resolve issues swiftly. Track concerns and feedback on higher education services for IELTS, develop proposals to address key concerns in consultation with the Director, Higher Education for use by the Executive Director with the partners. Research the most effective and efficient ways to track and resolve issues using technology.
Leverage organizational and project management skills; faithfully maintain record of outreach and outcomes of account work using the IELTS Salesforce CRM and keep detailed and accurate records of all communication and plan follow-up, reporting on that as needed to the Director, Higher Education.
Provide oversight to graduate stakeholders for the online Results Verification Service and Results Service. Liaise with IELTS partners on discrepancies/inconsistencies and provide resolutions for future improvements.
Serve as a member of the Higher Education Advisory Council (HEAC) planning committee.
University admissions personnel, including system officers with a specific focus on graduate programs
University deans, associate deans, assistant deans, and faculty at graduate programs
Leadership at organizations that serve/represent graduate education (i.e. CGS, NAGAP)
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIRED:
Master’s degree and a minimum of seven years of work experience, preferably with a combination of higher education admissions/recruitment experience and research experience.
Active involvement in the NAGAP, CGS, NAFSA, Regional NAFSA, or other similar organizations with a focus on international admissions and recruitment
Demonstrated experience creating, implementing, and maintaining an annual strategic management plan
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal direction
Demonstrated ability to maintain positive relationships with current stakeholders while increasing the number of new stakeholders within graduate schools and/or programs
Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills
Strong attention to detail with the ability to prepare written presentations and reports
Computer skills including Microsoft Office suite, Salesforce (or other CRMs), and ideally Pardot (or other automated marketing platforms)
A passion for providing excellent customer service
Outstanding organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task
Strong familiarity with IELTS and its joint partners; familiarity with higher education in the US
Ability to travel domestically up to 60-70% of the time in the summer and fall and up to 25% of the time during non-peak seasons; must hold a passport that allows for travel to and from the US and must be willing to travel internationally on an annual basis.

This position is primarily sedentary with frequent domestic overnight travel and occasional international travel. This role may require some bending and lifting.
