The Project/Program Manager will organize and coordinate targeted customer specific panel optimization projects. This individual will provide strategic guidance to their team and other project engineers in ways that promote the company's culture & vision. You will also oversee the progress of all business unit operations regarding key customer specific projects.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader and will have experience in directly managing staff of different disciplines to produce results in a timely manner. They will also be able to develop efficient strategies and tactics. The goal is to ensure that all projects deliver the desirable outcome to our key customers.
Primary focus will be commercial and technical completion of customer specific projects through planning, organizing and controlling all elements of each project from start to finish. A successful candidate will schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all engineering, technical & operational activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from quotation to completion by coordinating with project engineers & proposal specialists. There will be constant collaboration with sales personnel both internally and externally, by interpreting their needs and requirements related to each project.
Ability to see across multiple project prioritization and planning to meet customer and Rockwell Automation expectations
Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals, timelines and plans; conferring with management.
Determines project responsibilities, project phases & reviewing bids from suppliers
Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.
Supports the preparation of offers, bids, contracts and other sales-related documents through data gathering & customer collaboration.
Review of RFQ's, commercial/technical documentation & product requirements for KEY customer projects
Support and coordination of additional sales activities related to development of customer & project proposals
Support project order deliverables including; customer meetings and detailed documentation
Directs & coordinates activities of project engineering to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.
Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve engineering issues & problems
