To provide leadership, direction, and advocacy for the academic programs and the performance of Students of the District. Responsibilities include developing and monitoring accountability measures providing guidance and support for accomplishment of teaching and learning initiatives and goals.
Master’s Degree from an accredited educational institution in related field.
Certification in Education leadership, Administration and Supervision, School Principal or Professional School Principal.
Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in education to include no less than five (5) years administrative experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of current trends, research, and accountability measures processes and best practices in curriculum and instruction. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to read, interpret and present complex data and accountability results in an understandable manner to school personnel and the public. Knowledge of applicable laws, rules, policies, and procedures related to assigned responsibilities. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, employees, and the general public. Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory in specific field. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with students, staff and the school community. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all District requirements and Board policies.
Lead, provide direction and oversight for planning, development,
implementation and evaluation of all academic standards, programs,
and activities for the District.
Support the Deputy Superintendent for Operations in the development
and execution of the Strategic Operations and Business Plan that
includes the vision, values and strategic priorities for the organization.
Manage, implement and evaluate organizational development strategies
that facilitate the alignment and integration of people, processes and
technology; strategy and vision; leadership and staff; and system-wide
goals and culture.
Encourage strong collaboration among the district’s instructional
departments and develop an efficient service culture and climate.
Make school site visits to determine quality of instructional initiatives and
to support personnel.
Lead, monitor and ensure compliance with instructional/academic
statutory duties, regulation and legislation such as: Common Core,
Digital Curriculum, Computer Based Testing, Value Added and

Prepare contracts and grants as appropriate and necessary.
Develop materials for and participate in Board workshops and

Provide assistance to schools on data analysis as it relates to the
school accountability process.
Monitor and communicate trend, benchmark and comparison data in
the areas of curriculum assessment.

Interact with parents, outside agencies, business and community to enhance understanding of District initiatives and priorities and to elicit support and assistance.
Work closely with District and school staffs to support school improvement initiatives and processes.
Promote and support professional growth for self and others.
