1) Performs various basic level technical duties in [specify the specialized area]. Confers with Technician II or other skilled technician to resolve difficult technical problems.

4) Delivers, installs and calibrates technical equipment in support of College operations and activities.
5) Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works overtime as required and approved to meet workload demands.

While performing duties of this job, the employee regularly exhibits digital dexterity when entering data into computer. Working Conditions: Normal office working conditions. Employee is occasionally exposed to dirt, dust, debris, smells and outdoor weather conditions when moving or installing equipment. Employee is occasionally exposed to minor cuts, burns or other incapacitating injury and risk of electrical shock. Employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Technical knowledge of hardware, software, operating systems (Windows, Linux or iOS), Networking, Programming and related computer science technologies, technical equipment, functions and technical equipment installation processes. Skill in: performing technical tasks in area listed above, testing, troubleshooting and resolving basic level technical equipment operating problems; calibrating technical equipment; analytical thinking; application of job related computer software; operation of job-related equipment and other equipment; customer service. Ability to: develop and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, students, general public, and other job contacts; effectively work with persons of varying cultures and diversity; perform light physical labor for extended periods of time
Associate's Degree in a technical field of study closely related to the function of the position with at least one year experience in a closely related technical field. State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).
Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a Technician role.

About Columbus State Community College
Columbus State Community College has been meeting the diverse educational needs of the Central Ohio community for more than 50 years.
