Support Secretary - Imagining – East Orlando – Per Diem
Florida Hospital East Orlando seeks to hire a Support Secretary who will embrace our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ.
Florida Hospital East Orlando, a 293-bed full service community hospital that serves as one of Florida Hospital's seven satellite facilities, became part of the Florida Hospital system in 1990. Florida Hospital East Orlando provides imaging services to our community in a wide range of modalities, including MRI, CT, Ultrasound, DXA, Mammography, X-ray, and Nuclear Medicine. Our department is comprised of over 100+ highly-skilled team members that include technologists, schedulers, radiologists, nurses, medical records, and other support positions. We are proud to feature two 1.5 Tesla MRI machines, three CT scanners, as well as multiple X-ray and Ultrasound units. Conveniently located in the Medical Office Building on the East Orlando campus is the Women's Health Pavilion specializing in Outpatient Screening and Diagnostic Mammography, Ultrasound, and DXA services. Between Sunday – Saturday, 6:30am – 8pm
Under supervision is responsible for maintaining, accessing and printing patient records assuring privacy following HIPAA guidelines. Greets customers, partners and team members in a pleasant manner. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Cost Center 4333: Duties are performed at an offsite facility where there is no direct patient contact or exposure to infectious diseases.
Ability to communicate professionally with an acceptable use of English and spelling
Ability to follow directions
Ability to work independently in most situations while multitasking
Capable of working with people of various diverse backgrounds
Medical terminology (preferred)
Ability to communicate in Spanish (preferred)
Good organizational skills (preferred)
High school graduate or equivalent (preferred)
Previous Imaging or Medical Office experience (preferred)
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Required:

*Releases films/exams to patients and / or physician's office utilizing proper sign out process. Prints patient records for release internally and externally and faxes paper records always adhering to HIPAA and/or established guidelines. [Records]

Assists physicians and staff in viewing patient records.
Uses functions of computer system, bar code readers, fax machine, copier, digitizer, scanner, and PACS station. [Data Processing]
Operates office equipment in safe manner. Adheres to all infection control standards. [Safety and Environment of Care]
Maintains a knowledge and understanding of the Key Performance Indicators. [Performance Indicators]
Attends monthly staff meetings and any hospital mandatory meetings/in-services. [Meetings]
Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure the smoother operation of the department.
