In this role, you will play a lead role helping CCHS leaders create strategic approach to translate aims, objectives and concepts into successful implementation and sustainment. In doing so, you will provide expert change management and facilitation skills to lead complex clinical and operational projects for the system, as well as, align activities to support organizational aims. You will also play a lead role in clinical and operations improvement work with Christiana Care Health System departments by functioning as an analyst, facilitator, consultant and/or project manager as required.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides expert level project leadership in executing on strategic objectives. Plays a lead role in executing on improvement science projects within departments. Maintains the skill and ability to provide introductory, intermediate and advanced level project support as needed.
If licensed as an RN or other healthcare professional, use experience and background to identify clinical and operational opportunities for improvement. Uses nursing knowledge base and theory to identify best practice models.
Partners with senior executives to translate concepts and / or strategies into effective operating models and business plans
Facilitate projects and programs that span the health system and have measureable and direct impact to cost, quality and patient satisfaction in the 15% to 25% range
Facilitate complex cross functional, cross department and system level teams to develop mission, vision, strategy goals and outcomes
Develop strategic aims and deliver business transformation in areas such as process re-design, change management, cost reductions and technology enabled business change
Lead projects and makes recommendations to senior executives that have direct and measureable impact on organizational strategy, long term goals and AOP
Researches innovative methodologies to address clinical and operational improvement projects. Supports the OE department in researching innovative methods, tools, practices, processes and systems. Assists the OE department and CCHS departmental leaders in designing comprehensive solutions that apply innovative approaches.
Assists in the development of OE department operating budget and ensures that department operates within budget. Identifies cost saving opportunities within department.
Researches and identifies related benchmarks to be used in establishing internal standards, targets and/or best practices.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate degree in healthcare related field, business or industrial engineering required.
Experience in health operations improvement, clinical redesign, industrial engineering and productivity management.
Some job responsibilities require advanced ActionOI and Simulation software training.
Minimum of 10 years / 2 years as active LSS deployment leader.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
