This role presents a unique opportunity for an experienced Analyst/Manager to drive the development of the Capital Tool project within Market and Structural Risk.
Capital Tool project is a Group initiative, aimed at improving capital management to make more effective decisions supported by information of better quality. Market and Structural Risk is responsible for two key work streams of the Capital Tool project: ALM (including pension) and Market Risk. Due to the complexity of the work streams and interdependencies with other areas, we would like a suitable candidate to join us and take the lead of the Capital Tool project.

As a Market and Structural Risk Manager, your main responsibilities will be
To manage key deliverables in Capital Tool project, including ALM optionality (by 30 June 2019) and the development in EC add-on items.
To work closely with Group and local TMO to set up P&L vectors feed into AIRe, and to assist with the Group's required certification process.
To work closely with all Market and Structural Risk teams: ALM, Market Risk and Pension Risk. To familiarise yourself with capital related processes in order to review the feasibility of automating local processes, e.g. ICAAP, risk appetite metrics.
To work closely with EC work stream to improve the efficiency of the local EC process.
To prepare for and attend various project meetings and meetings with Group counterpart. To provide updates to Project Lead on a regular basis.
Minimum skills and experience required
Educated to degree level, preferably in Mathematics or other numerate subject.
Relevant experience in Risk Management or Capital Planning. Familiarity with Economic Capital, Stress Testing, Market and Structural Risk in a Bank.
Excellent IT skills including advanced experience of Excel.
Strong numerical reasoning, analytical skills and ability to work through tasks in a logical manner.
Sound project management skills and attention to detail.
Self-motivation and an ability to work well in a highly collaborative team environment.
Eagerness to learn and keep up to date with the investment and pensions industry and market.
Previous experience working in Market or Structural Risk, or Capital Planning is welcome.
