The Audit Departmentis accountable to the Audit and Examining Committee of the Board of Directors,the Office of the Chairman, senior management and our global and localregulators. The Corporate &Investment Banking (CIB) Audit Team is responsible for assessing the adequacyof the control environments across all of the CIB wholesale businesses.
Your responsibilitieswill include:
Implement an audit program of coverage which involves effective riskassessment and design of a risk prioritized coverage approach
Monitor adherence toregulatory changes, helping ensure appropriate audit coverage of regulatorycompliance within the Asia CIB business audits with opportunities to travelwithin Asia region (15%)
Analyze risks andproactively identify the root-cause of issues with a view to providingrecommendations for improvement where weaknesses are identified
Participate activelyas a member of the broader Global CIB audit teams, disseminating best practicesglobally as well as regionally
Execute an effectiveprogram of 'continuous auditing' for assigned areas including; monitoring ofkey metrics to identify control issues and adverse trends in the controlenvironment and keeping abreast of key initiatives and pertinent industry andregulatory developments
Identify and followup on specific audit issues and ensure appropriate involvement with significantdevelopment efforts or projects. In this capacity members of the team may beasked to join the steering or program control committees of major projects toprovide continuous feedback on control issues or compliance with best practicestandards
To be successful you will need:
Proven knowledge of investment bank business activities, and practical experience dealing with risk management principles and controls
Be a strong team player, able to multi-task, demonstrate project management skills and work under pressure in a dynamic business environment
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline is preferred
Minimum 5 years audit or relevant business experience with a good understanding of internal control concepts
Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently in an efficient and effective manner and with minimal supervision
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex and sensitive issues to senior management and influence change
