Department Profile Professionals within Legal and Compliance provide a wide range of services to our business units. They might help to structure a complex and sensitive cross-border transaction; advise on a new product introduction; develop a training program or defuse an investor dispute. Background on the Team The Global Regulatory Affairs Program Office serves as a leader and executive sponsor for the firm's global regulatory affairs and change management efforts, a definitive voice and source of regulatory interpretation, both internally and externally, and drives proactive internal regulatory strategy and external communication.
Primary Responsibilities The Regulatory Affairs Program Office is responsible for spearheading the team's organizational, advocacy and implementation efforts through effective program management, delivering on the operating strategy, and improving transparency through comprehensive management reporting.
Responsibilities include: · Provide implementation program management and leadership to key regulatory programs/initiatives o Prepare agenda in consultation with Global Program Manager and key members on working group o Lead and facilitate discussion by leveraging knowledge gathered from other working groups, as necessary o Review output of working group members and ensure it meets the requirements of the program; assist working group members in reworking, if necessary o Track progress towards goals and budget, identify dependencies, escalate issues (esp. resourcing of working group with appropriate skill-set), and provide reporting towards centralized program management · Engage with Business Unit embedded programs to monitor progress, escalate issues and address constraints · Manage status reporting and communication across programs, including regulatory dashboard and weekly communication to senior management · Identify areas of regulatory and program intersection, including potential gaps/conflict and path to resolution · Provide overall support to Global Program Manager · Manage/oversee contingent resources
Qualifications Skills required (essential) -Strong communication, presentation and project/program management skills -Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint -Candidates must be self-motivated, independent and organized -4-6 years of experience in financial services, management consulting and/or project management
Skills desired -Project Management Professional (PMP) or other Project Management (PMI) certification
