The Special Events Manager is a member of the Development Team. This position is responsible for the planning, coordination, direction, execution, and evaluation of all major fund-raising special events for RGA. The Special Events Manager will demonstrate a commitment to and firm understanding of data management and will be active in efforts to expand philanthropic support to all events. The Special Event Manager will lead all sponsor solicitation efforts. The Special Events Manager will uphold the Mission & Values of the Association.
Experience in leading all efforts pertaining to special events including walks, luncheons, galas and more.
Recruit, develop and provide leadership and support to event committees that support the various special events.
Solicit and coordinate auction and raffle items associated with each event.
Ensure effective marketing, promotion, sales and sponsorship/underwriting strategies are established and followed through.
Lead sponsor acquisition program.
Experience in building relationships with donors and support team.
Familiarity with CRM software. (Raiser's Edge preferred)

1 to 2 years of strong fund-raising experience.
Knowledge of DuPage County Philanthropic/Corporate Community
