The Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA), located in Seattle, Washington, is part of a dynamic collaboration among three organizations known nationally and internationally for their patient care and research: Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, University of Washington, and Seattle Children's. Over the past 25 years, these institutions have worked together to support their mission of adult and pediatric oncology patient care services, research and education.
Under the oversight of the Strategy Division, the Strategic Outreach and Affiliate Network Office oversees an array of responsibilities in service to SCCA's goal of improving cancer care, regionally and beyond. We strive to further the reach of the SCCA's expertise and knowledge by developing new relationships through local, regional and international events and conferences as well as maintain and cultivate deeper relationships with our existing partners. As the external ambassadors of the organization we manage a diverse body of work including overseeing the Affiliate Network Program, managing the physician targeted outreach for the organization as well as community outreach for our Community Practice cancer centers in the area.
The Digital & Event Specialist will have overall responsibility for planning, implementing, and tracking a variety of digital campaigns designed to increase strategic engagement for SCCA. This position is embedded within SCCA's Strategic Outreach, Network and Continuing Education department and works closely with Service Line Management and Marketing to configure technology platforms that reach key constituents, target potential referral sources, and increase participation in SCCA driven educational events and symposiums. This position requires an innovative, self-driven candidate with strong technical skills, who can research, identify and operationalize digital solutions for a complex and changing oncology landscape.
The Seattle Cancer Care Alliance was incorporated in 1998 as a separate, jointly governed non-profit that included the cancer programs of three partners. Seattle Cancer Care Alliance is a cancer treatment center that unites doctors from Fred Hutchison Cancer Research Center, University of Washington Medical Center, and Seattle Children’s. The purpose of this organization is to provide state-of the-art patient and family centered care; support the conduct of cancer clinical research and education; enhance access to improved cancer interventions; and advance the standard of cancer care regionally and beyond. The Seattle Cancer Care Alliance is the only NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center in the Northwest, and according to the National Cancer Data Base, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance patients in general have better survival rates than patients treated at other cancer treatment centers.
