The Business Development Analyst will be a resource for the collection, input and reporting of data to support business development, clinical growth, and market analysis. The Analyst will work closely with various members of the Clinical Planning and Business Development (CPBD) and Network Operations departments. The CPBD department provides business planning, project management, and operations support to the Institute, its community sites, and its strategic growth initiatives. The Analyst will report to the Director of Market and Network Analytics.
Complete ad-hoc and recurring reports and analyses as needed with minimal direction (e.g. patient origin, disease center volume, cancer incidence rates, room utilization)
Produce monthly operational dashboard report integrating multiple internal data sources for volume, utilization rates, and operational metrics at DFCI network sites
Refresh and improve existing volume and productivity reports and analyses
Prepare quarterly summaries of external data from market data vendors
Research and summarize changes in the healthcare market under the direction of the Director of Market and Network Analytics
Assist other members of CPBD department with data visualization and incorporation of Institute data into their projects and presentations, as needed
Work closely with Clinical Operations and Business Analytics team to ensure alignment of DFCI network analytics with those of the broader Institute
Present analytic work product to appropriate internal audiences and end users
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum of 2 years related work experience (or Master's degree) preferably in the healthcare industry
Attention to detail
Intermediate level proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required, and Tableau preferred
Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn to use new software tools
Ability to retrieve data from available resources and seek out additional resources when necessary
Analytic skills and ability to present data in a clear manner with charts and other visualizations
Proficient communication skills to explain analyses and methodologies used
Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with individuals from other departments
