As an integral part of the pharmacy department, the 340B Program Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining compliance in all areas, including relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards related to the federal 340B drug purchase program and mitigating risk across the pharmacy enterprise.
The program coordinator will actively participate in creating and implementing program improvements. Primary concerns include maintenance of registration information, ensuring compliant purchasing and billing practices, performance of internal audits, and maintaining policies and procedures.
This position will work closely with pharmacy buyers or other pharmacy staff to purchase eligible pharmaceuticals.
The Coordinator will take the lead in ongoing staff education and training, internal report development and general audit-readiness, as well as collaborate with the Management team to communicate changes that could affect 340B qualifications.
In addition, this role will develop and present periodic and annual reports on 340B savings, problem areas and exceptions or discrepancies to the Pharmacy Director.
Bachelor's degree in a job related field required
3 years experience with system and process analysis required
Demonstrated understanding of 340B drug program required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Ability to understand and interpret various regulations and standards required
Highly developed analytical skills required
Advanced Excel skills required
Excellent oral & written communication skills required
Project management experience preferred
