Harvard University Information Technology (HUIT) is seeking a senior manager to lead a diverse technical team focused on building and implementing IT solutions that support the administrative needs of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS). The Client-Relationship Manager plays a key role in consulting with staff within FAS to understand business requirements and department IT direction to deliver solutions to make IT easier to use. Reporting directly to the Director, the Client-Relationship Manager is part of the management team that has overall responsibility of managing the FAS Admin portfolio. Key responsibilities include:
Lead a 5-7 person team that includes software developers, project managers, business analysts, and quality assurance analysts. Hiring for contractor positions to augment staff for FAS funded projects, evaluate staff for performance, provide direction for professional development and training opportunities.
Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to analyze, prioritize, and review requirements and specifications for new applications, enhancements to existing applications, and third-party solutions.
Develop project plans, resource capacity planning, and timelines to schedule effort and report regularly on project status.
Build a team culture that champions innovation, collaboration, openness and a focus on proactively meeting customer needs.
Lead the Planning and Strategy team to prepare roadmaps, planning and reporting for the advisory boards including the FAS Project Review Board
Encourage and coach in the Agile methodology for projects and teams in FAS Admin.

To be considered for this role, applicants must have the following experience and skills:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required
8+ years of IT experience in software development, delivery of IT solutions, project management and client relations.
