POSITION DESCRIPTION: Chicago House and Social Service Agency is seeking an experienced Manager of Annual Giving. Reporting to and in partnership with the Chief Development Officer, the Manager will oversee the growth of annual giving in both foundation relations and individual giving while overseeing two Development Associates. A new position in the organization, this role will have the opportunity to shape the annual fund plan by assessing list segmentation and online giving strategies, coordinating and supporting gift solicitation activities, as well as managing cultivation and stewardship programs. This role must have strong time- and project-management skills, be extremely detail-oriented, reliable and accurate. The ideal candidate is a great relationship builder and understands how to motivate donors and internal stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create and execute a strategy for a large sustained base of annual individual donors
Identify and develop a portfolio of upwards of 100 potential and existing donors from foundation, corporate and individual sources
Provide strong engagement opportunities and robust stewardship
Pursue and coordinate face-to-face meetings with donors and prospects
Facilitate major donor and prospect meetings for CEO and CDO
Replenish donor pipeline with qualified individual, corporate and foundation prospects
Maintain accurate information in donor database
Coordinate outreach to small gift donors through specific campaigns throughout the year
Coordinate with Communications and Special Events Associate to ensure regular donor communications
Work collaboratively with both the Foundation Relations Associate and Individual & Corporate Giving Associate to ensure best-practices are implemented for internal consistency and donor expectations
Meet metrics established in the annual fundraising plan and align strategies with the 3 year plan
Support planning and execution of events
Support other Development Team and Leadership Team as needed

Experience with proposal writing and annual giving
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Flexibility, initiative, and follow-through
Proficiency with Raiser’s Edge preferred
