Senior Organizational Development & Change Management Consultant

The Sr. OD & Change Management Consultant within Human Resources serves as a lead, internal consultant to support high priority, company-wide initiatives. The consultant 1) enables the realization of business strategy by supporting leaders in identifying, prioritizing, and building company-wide capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes; 2) serves as a primary, trusted advisor for business-related change initiatives; 3) contributes to long-term success by spearheading the design and delivery/implementation of programs and services that facilitate the alignment and integration of people, processes and technology, vision and strategy, leadership, and business goals and culture; and 4) influences organizational effectiveness and talent management by supporting initiatives and projects related to organizational design, succession planning, associate engagement, talent development /coaching and enhancing management capabilities. This position partners with Novant Health leaders while collaborating with HR Business Partners and Project Managers across the Enterprise to ensure seamless delivery while developing and executing organizational interventions to support the achievement of business strategy.

Education: Master's degree in organizational development, organizational behavior, organizational/industrial Psychology or business administration. Evidence of continuous learning of organizational development and organizational change management through attendance at relevant conferences, books/journals and professional memberships.
Experience: Minimum ten (10) years of previous OD work experience consulting within/to a matrixed organization that includes solid experience in change management.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Prefer certification in change management (strong preference for candidate with Prosci certification)
Additional Skills Required: Ability to coach, enable, and support executives and other senior leaders to achieve desired business objectives within the context of complex organizational dynamics. Contracting skills for developing agreements with business owners on statement of work, timeline and meeting frequency. Project planning skills, from concept to planning to implementation. Able to Influence others individually and also broadly across the organization. Proficiency in consulting skills. Strong interpersonal skills coupled with ability to facilitate small groups and large groups. Ability to build strong internal partnerships. Strong verbal communication skills. Work independently in a collaborative setting. Ability to move between big picture and detail orientation in order to move from vision and strategy to objectives, goals and tactics.
Experience with lean and/or agile methodology within context of organizational change management.
