The Health Information Analyst plays a key role in the design, development and deployment of Lawndale’s business intelligence strategies. Works closely with different staff within the clinic, from front line users to senior management, managing BI tools and analyzing data thoroughly in order implement meaningful information that can assist the appropriate staff in providing the best care for our patients or make the best decisions.
The Health Information Analyst will be responsible for the following:
Data Management • Assist with design, development and deployment of data transformation processes that support our data warehouse. • Manage ongoing data processes by monitoring process reports and resolving data issues.
Data Analysis • Become a subject matter expert on all reporting databases. • Perform data analysis as requested by various departments. • Perform data analysis as part of the ETL or reporting development process to ensure data accuracy.
Reporting • Meet with report consumers and requestors to gather reporting requirements. • Design and propose reporting solutions based on gathered requirements. • Develop and thoroughly test reports using available development tools, ensuring data quality and desired results. • Review all reports with requesting staff and obtain approvals prior to deploying report to general public. • Manage all deployments to Reporting servers. • Promptly respond to and resolve Work Requests related to reporting or any others that are assigned. • Document and maintain report documentation for each report.
Interface Management • Manage interface systems to ensure data flows in and out of our systems properly. • Work with internal and external partners to implement and maintain our interface systems. • Monitor and troubleshoot any errors in our interface systems.
Other Development Assist with other development as required. Development may include, SharePoint, EMR Forms, Applications.
Solid technical knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Visio).
2+ years’ experience working database structures and SQL programming
2+ years’ experience working with data integration tools such as SQL Server Integration Services, Informatica, etc.
2+ years’ experience working with reporting tools such as SQL Server Reporting Services, Business Objects, MicroStrategy. Experience developing in the Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS), developing SSIS ETL packages, SSRS Reports, reporting data models and data analysis cubes.
Experience working with data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Domo or Datazen.
Knowledge of EMR database structures and healthcare information technology is helpful.
Experience with Crystal Reports.
Experience with Microsoft SharePoint development, including the integration of reporting content.
Knowledge of GE’s Centricity Practice Solution.
