The Outreach Coordinator supports LCHC in developing and implementing outreach and sales strategies to increase utilization of LCHC’s health care services and related business lines. The goal of the position is to increase and retain medical members, increase patient insurance coverage, and develop strong relationships with local organizations and healthcare partners.
The Outreach Coordinator organizes small and large group activities and attends local events such as health fairs and community gatherings and builds partnerships. Tasks include implementing strategies to increase health insurance coverage and membership management; building community partnerships for awareness and referrals to LCHC’s services; and improving and enhancing the patient experience at LCHC to better serve and retain members and patients.
The Outreach Coordinator will:
Assist in maintaining and growing LCHC’s private and government grant portfolio, including assisting the Grants Manager in authoring grant reports and proposals, prospecting for new grant opportunities, and assisting in program evaluation.
Manage and maintain the department calendar which includes, but is not limited to, grant deadlines, newsletter release dates, outreach communications. Issuing reminders as needed about upcoming deadlines and expectations.
Lead all gift processing and manage the donor database, reconciling records with accounting department, generating and mailing acknowledgment letters and receipts, and preparing donation reports.
Create, update, and maintain donor records in the donor database.
Draft and send correspondence, including authoring newsletter stories, donor communications, and support of staff communications as needed
Provide administrative and project management support for mailed and emailed fundraising and cultivation efforts throughout the year (i.e. newsletter, annual appeal, annual report, etc.).
Assist in creating and supporting strategies to develop new donors, cultivate major donor relationships and maintain strong relationships with LCHC partners and supporters
Responsible for assisting with tours, site visits, and other events such as the annual Lawndale 5K race and staff events.
Attend, plan, and organize activities to promote LCHC and increase knowledge of services within local, underserved communities.
Lead direct marketing activities to attract new patients and schedule appointments for medical care.
Build network of area partnerships to promote and refer to healthcare and other LCHC services including the fitness center, café, conference center, and employment opportunities.
Develop in-depth knowledge of health insurance products including Medicaid Managed Care, Medicare, and Marketplace products.
Monitor Managed Care membership lists. Create and implement actionable plans to connect with targeted patients based on membership list analytics.
Assist in navigating insurance enrollment, including coordinating with Managed Care Organizations and supporting LCHC’s enrollment staff.
Provide leadership in devising and implementing operational processes for sales, enrollment, and member engagement strategies. Research and recommend strategies to create accessible services and programs.
Prepare and present reports, scripts, and tools increase sales and marketing capacity of staff.
Design and complete surveys, focus groups, and other methods of gaining patient feedback.
Administrative support of marketing team including tracking and maintaining outreach certifications and documentation.
Responsible for performing other duties as required to assist LCHC in achieving its mission
