The Urban Future Lab (UFL) at NYU Tandon is New York City's longest running cleantech startup incubator (founded in 2009). We advise, offer hands-on support, and provide office space to entrepreneurs working on market-ready solutions to climate change. Our portfolio of incubator companies includes industry-leading startups in the areas of renewable energy, smart buildings, agriculture, transportation, and resource-efficiency.
The Manager will lead an exciting new client engagement initiative with a major corporation to develop an innovation program to implement pilot projects that enable the client company to meet critical renewable energy targets and design new business models. The Manager will also provide the client with recommendations on potential pilot partners. Additionally, the Manager will share responsibilities with other team members on key areas of incubator management and responsibilities: active recruitment of startup applicants, deal analysis and evaluation, portfolio company support, development, and execution of programs.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree
Required Experience: 3-5 years experience. Candidate should have experience in meeting client needs, and delivering projects on time.
Preferred Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience with roles in project/program management, consulting, venture capital, or work experience at a startup, government agency, or energy/utility company. Any work experience related to the New York State Reforming the Energy Vision (REV) policy framework will be seen as a plus. Experience evaluating applications to an incubator or accelerator program, or any experience teaching, coaching, or as a speaker at a conference or panel discussion will also be highly valued. Experience or interest in playing a leadership role is also a plus.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: • Informed and experienced in energy efficiency, renewable energy, or utility industry.
