Brief Description of Duties: Brief Description of Duties: Under the direction of the Director, the incumbent will support investigative efforts that include creating records of investigative notes, organizing exhibits, fielding inquiries to appropriate investigators, editing investigative reports and scheduling interviews of complainants, respondents and witnesses. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining and securing investigative files and records, and updating investigative databases and spreadsheets. The successful candidate will manage time sensitive documents and requests. The incumbent will ensure that all investigative records and data are updated and in compliance with current federal, state and local laws as well as with SUNY/Stony Brook policies. The incumbent will assist in the development of policies related to Title VII and IX. This position will require meeting tight deadlines, multitasking, and editing. Ability to successfully work on and complete several projects at one time. Provide administrative support by coordinating meetings for the Investigators that involves contacting, reporting and responding parties and witnesses. Assist Investigators by transcribing handwritten notes to digital records. Assist Investigators by collecting and documenting submitted evidence. Maintain a record of the same. Manage a record of open and closed cases. Generate statistical data used to create reports on cases on a monthly and yearly basis as appropriate. Assist in the preparation of the NYS 129-B annual report and other statistical reports that comply with state and federal requirements. Responsible for managing all cases in the OIDE tracking system from inception to completion. Assist the Investigators in creating comprehensive written investigative reports that clearly identify the issues investigated and summarize the evidence. Close out files by ensuring all proper correspondence have been met. Assist Investigator in identifying policies and provisions relevant to complaint. Represent OIDE on special committees.
