The Project Manager supports the Director of Pharmacy and Nutrition Services through effective administration of special projects. The primary goal of the project manager is to provide oversight of all the Pharmacy and Nutrition program projects and initiatives. This position includes developing and maintaining effective communications between the Director, Pharmacy and Nutrition Services and the Cedars-Sinai Medical Network units to foster and strengthen collaborative working relationships as well as developing, managing and supporting key strategic initiatives of the Medical Network. The Project Manager applies a detailed knowledge of the responsibilities, functions and underlying MN management structure of the larger health system organization and of the community to ensure the orderly and timely flow of business through the office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Leads program initiatives and coordinates with stakeholders to ensure that project goals are on track and achieved.
o Schedules meetings and conferences and prepares agenda for discussion.
o Facilitates discussions and records meeting minutes.
o Conducts follow-up of action items.
o Provides updates to team members.
o Ensures that goals and objectives of the project are met within specified timelines.
Special project management as assigned by Director, Pharmacy and Nutrition Services.
Assist in the strategic planning process/goals of the Pharmacy and Nutrition Department
Maintain and update department organizational chart, organizational schematic and mission statement; compile survey information, e.g., patient satisfaction, utilization statistics.
Research and write presentations and reports.
Meeting facilitation and preparation e.g. Pharmacy Department Retreat, and others as assigned
Participate and prepare agendas, minutes and project summaries.
Provides presentations to stakeholders.
Proactively manage projects by using critical thinking skills to anticipate project tasks and needs.
Assist with the identification, retrieval, manipulation, and analysis of data necessary to make decisions to support programs.
Conduct and summarize research in support of various programs.
Prepare deliverables (slides, charts, and tables, etc.) for special reports, presentations, and informational requests.
Assist management and executive staff with other special projects and functions as necessary.
Distribute, track, manage and follow-up on action items for multiple projects.
Coordinate meetings between management team and physicians and staff.
Take meeting notes and prepare materials for meetings.
Perform normative administrative duties efficiently such as printing, faxing, scanning, and compiling documents.
Other duties as assigned.
