Working closely with the Director of Development Research and Prospect Management, the Assistant Director, International Research coordinates and manages a number of projects and programs designed to discover, evaluate, and enhance the level of information on international prospects for the Advancement function. Additionally, the Assistant Director, International Research serves as the intermediary with Advancement Information Systems and Research to ensure that current, complete and appropriate prospect information is available to university fundraisers.
Duties are as follows: International Research (60%): Management, coordination and administration of research services related to international advancement initiatives which include: research best practices; evaluation of international research programs in place at peer institutions; design and provide reports to assist senior management and fundraising staff with assessing and tracking international programs. Prospect Research (25%): Supervise, mentor and lead prospect research staff; develop and expand policies, procedures and systems necessary for the identification, evaluation and tracking of international prospects/donors; participate in the planning and development of special initiatives; College-based Prospect Identification (15%): support the ongoing efforts of the university to identify and evaluate prospective donors; keep abreast of data and information related to wealth creation and philanthropy; overall support for Identification and Prospect Management programs.
-Bachelor's Degree required. Master's degree preferred. -Minimum of three (3) years research and development office experience required, preferably in higher education or a non-profit organization. -Excellent organizational and project management experience. -Excellent information systems experience; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database programs (i.e., Salesforce). -Strong working knowledge of prospect management and tracking systems. -Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. -Sense of humor a must.
