We are currently in search of an Administrative Communication Specialist for a Religious Organization. The position is based in Downtown Chicago. This is a full-time, permanent position.

The Administrative Communication Specialist will report to the Director of Programming and Director of Communication. This person will be an important part of a small team by providing exceptional administrative support to the other team members. The Administrative Communication Specialist will play a critical role in the creation and management of the organization’s social media and web presence. The Organization is seeking an individual who has strong customer service skills, is a team player, and has strong writing and editing skills.
Our Ideal Candidate:
High School diploma required. College degree preferred.
2+ years relevant experience.
Bi/Trilingual (Spanish, Korean, English) is a plus.
Experience working with Microsoft Office suite and Adobe products including Excel, InDesign, and PowerPoint.
Proficient in software such as Media Shout and WordPress.
Understands social media trends, tools and technology and able to disseminate information on all platforms including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Competency in office machines such as telephone, audio visual equipment, video conferencing, and computer/software capabilities.
Expertise in videotaping and editing skills and building an audience on Vimeo and YouTube channels.
Proficient with all forms of audio-visual equipment to include cameras, computers, and recorders.
Knowledge of database management, web editing, and all aspects of social media.
Knowledge in content management systems.
Has excellent communications skills, especially interpersonal and professional.
Excellent customer service skills – a person who enjoys meeting and interacting with others.
Agreeable and personable phone presence.
How You Will Spend Your Day:
Assist with all aspects of administrative management – both logistics and tactical support.
Coordinate between departments in resolving day-to-day tasks and challenges.
Manage files both paper and digital: data input, organization, review and edits, and maintenance.
Produce, manage and execute both visual and graphic presentations.
Edit and proof online and print publications.
Develop consistent and uniform branded material and presentations.
Ability to integrate multiple forms of content into uniform branded formats.
Manage and complete the annual digest, member directory, and special brochure using Createspace printing.
Assist in handling large audio productions and presentation for annual conference.
Help support, review, and create web content.
