The Project Development Senior Officer will serve as a strategic advisor and develop plans for meaningful fundraising opportunities. This person will collaborate closely with clinical leadership, as well as clinical staff, leadership teams and the major gifts officers to analyze specific areas of opportunity and develop effective strategies and messaging to fundraise effectively. He/She provides a systematic and tactical approach of communication to ensure the best possible service and effective communication. This position requires significant teamwork and frequent contact with employees at all levels of the organization. It is a multifaceted role that requires the ability to analyze complex data and develop strong, strategic insights and plans to support effective and measurable business goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with Major Gifts Officers to analyze assigned project/program areas and identify new fundraising opportunities.
Develop strategic plans and craft messaging around opportunities for donor prospects.
Develop and implement donor recognition programs from creation of opportunities to execution of signage, maintaining a consistent look/feel across the System.
Partner with internal teams to support annual fundraising campaigns.
Prepare documents used for closing new gifts and commitments.
Skills and Requirements
A Bachelor's degree or in Business Administration, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Non-profit Studies or other related disciplines from an accredited college or university. Master's degree preferred.
Advanced written, verbal and organizational skills.
Experience working within a demanding and complex corporate environment with access to highly confidential and proprietary information.
Broad functional experience in areas of communications, marketing, project management, program development, and/or fundraising.
Proven experience in planning, researching, writing, problem solving, editing and coordinating production of collateral.
Must have strong interpersonal skills, maturity and good judgment and be capable of communicating with a diverse range of individuals.
Must have the ability to analyze complex information and develop strategic insights and recommendations.
Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and apply strong attention to detail.
Proven ability to implement new initiatives, measure and discern progress and adjust to maximize results.
Minimum of 5 years experience.
