Job Summary: Seeking a highly self-motivated and seasoned creative Business Development Manager to join our top-performing national business development team. Working closely with our Occupier brokers and client solutions colleagues, this position will coordinate with functional experts in operations, pricing, technology, marketing, and legal in the preparation of complex proposals and presentations at the point of sale. This high-visibility position calls for a confident strategic and creative professional with excellent writing, project management, analytical and collaboration and people skills. The preferred candidate is self-directed and will exude confidence and poise in a deadline driven environment. Needs to have previous commercial real estate proposal development experience and capacity to single-handedly run multiple projects simultanesouly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Leads writing and coordinating of overall content and strategy on proposals and presentations for our Occupier Advisory & Transactions business line.
Devises strategy for new business pursuits utilizing various marketing tools, while partnering with advisory service subject matter experts and local marketing teams.
Edits, develops and customizes proposal and presentation content, RFP responses, follow-up presentations and other interactive marketing and pitch materials for new business development pursuits and additional non-client specific marketing projects as-needed.
Develops client-specific presentation materials while conducting extensive due diligence on the client's background, company culture and brand to ensure a customized approach for every pursuit.
Runs conference calls and meetings interfacing with leadership and sales professionals; managing the process, materials and deadlines.
Strong ability to write clearly, concisely, and effectively in a creative manner. Researches and resolves complex issues pertaining to RFP responses.
Comfortable with Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop), PowerPoint and Word to create and design marketing and presentation materials.
Supervisory Responsibilities: No formal supervisory of people, however, serves as lead on business development projects, coordinating all tasks, content and ensuring deadlines are met. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within business unit and/or project. Works closely with graphic design team to provide art and content direction.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent from four-year education program and minimum of four to six years of related experience and/or training.
Preferred Commercial Real Estate experience.
Preferred proposal writing experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to internal clients.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Ability to work overtime due to workload and current project deadlines.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office including Word and PowerPoint. Intermediate knowledge of Adobe InDesign.
