The Marks lab in the Department of Systems Biology at Harvard Medical School is recruiting a Computational Lab Manager to support and organize computational work on a variety of exciting projects. The Computational Lab Manager will take the lead in project management for at least 4 collaborations, partnering with Dr. Marks to recruit and mentor graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, organize and document meetings with collaborators, and write grants, grant reports, and papers. Organizing the development and maintenance of software and servers will be a particular focus. Coding experience is advantageous but not required. The successful candidate is likely to have research experience in experimental biology or computational biology.
The position requires a sophisticated understanding of molecular biology, a high level of comfort with communication technologies such as Skype, Slack, etc., and superb organizational skills. Strong communication and writing skills are vital, and finalists may be required to demonstrate their writing and/or editing skills.
