Thecourier is responsible for picking up orders and delivering to universitydepartments on campus. The courier will operate the route efficiently to ensurethat the scheduled pick-ups and deliveries for the day are completed asintended, and must manage time well. This position is responsible for providingsatisfactory customer service to a diverse population at Vanderbilt. The courier will maintain standards offriendliness and helpfulness while supporting Printing Services mission.
About the Department:
Vanderbilt Printing Services iscommitted to the University and Medical Center community. The departmentemploys 29 full time staff members who process over 6,000 orders annually,averaging more than 20 million impressions. Campus Copy is the 'quick print' arm of Printing Services. Equippedwith a fleet of high-end production digital copiers and printers, Campus Copycan turn around even the most difficult projects quickly.
Key Functions andExpected Performance:
Deliver excellent customer servicewith professionalism and efficiency.
Pick-up printing orders, products and proofs from university clients and deliver to Printing Services for production.
Package and prepare finished products for shipment, create detailed packing lists.
Deliver products and proofs to university clients and vendors.
Deliver mail to U.S. bulk mail entry unit.
Coordinate efficient daily route schedules for routine pick-up and delivery.
Communicates with departmental staff, University & Medical Center clients and has occasional contact with supply vendors.
Maintain delivery vehicle and maintenance log.
Assist in bindery and mail room departments on an as-needed basis.
Perform other duties as assigned
This position does have direct supervisoryresponsibility; this position reports to the production manager.
This position requires a high schooldiploma. A minimum of 12 months ofrelevant experience is required. Validdriver's license is required.
