The Central Processing Department (CPD) at MSK oversees the sterilization and distribution of all instruments and equipment for over 25,000 surgical cases annually. We are looking for a confident, dynamic professional who thoroughly understands central processing and can help lead our team in providing excellent service.
Knowledgeable on all technical aspects of CPD and able to apply this knowledge to advance departmental and organizationalgoals.

Direct and supervise activities of staff in assigned areas; Hire, orient, train, discipline, and evaluate the performance of staff; Provide guidance, feedback, and opportunities for development, as appropriate.
Monitor area operations and prioritize workflow to meet the needs of the clinical areas and ensure an efficient and financially sound operation.
Ensure all departmental activities meet compliance standards.
Drive productivity and maintain a high-level work quality to meet clinical needs and expectations.
Complete all required documentation, produce necessary reports, and maintain records required meeting expectations of all regulatory and accrediting agencies.
Manage department budget and establish controls.
Ensure the practice of proper infection control and safety protocols throughout the department in compliance with department guidelines, Infection Control and Safely Department Policies and regulatory agencies.
Monitor the maintenance of departmental equipment and associated records per regulatory requirement.
Central Processing Certification (required)
Bachelor's degree (required); major in Healthcare Administration (preferred)
Minimum of seven years of relevant experience (required)
Previous supervisory experience (required)
