SNAME is currently seeking an in-house, highly energetic, driven sales professional to secure exhibitors, sponsors and advertisers for our annual convention, partner and regional events, and print/digital media platforms. The position will be responsible for the full strategic sales cycle, from lead cultivation to closing. Must be self-motivated to create sales results and the able to build strong relationships.
Meet and exceed revenue targets through the sales of digital and print advertising, event sponsorships and exhibit space
Research and develop a list of potential exhibitors, sponsors and advertisers, as needed
Cold call current/past customers and prospects and sell the benefits of exhibiting/sponsoring at the event and/or advertising with SNAME
Develop and maintain excellent relationships with key customers
Research and attend various industry/competitive events and visit clients and potential clients when necessary
Keep up to date on market developments and identify new growth areas for sales
Keep precise records of communications with all customers
Manage floor plan and allocation of booth space in conjunction with the event director
Support execution and fulfillment of exhibits, sponsorships and advertisements
Maintain budget, revenue status, and billing reports
This is an inside sales position (periodic telecommuting available) in a great location with a casual work environment, fun team and flexible working hours.
Exhibit sales experience required
Excellent communications skills: written, verbal and personal presentation
Ability to demonstrate skills to sell to decision makers and maintain relationships
Fast, creative thinker
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Experience with MapYourShow or other floorplan management/CRM system a plus
Experience in sponsorship and/or advertising sales preferred
Ability to travel to domestic and international locations
