About the Position: The Project Manager is responsible forplanning, executing and finalizing solutions related to new and existingproducts, modules and services. The Project Manager sets milestones for eachproject and coordinates efforts between the FUMS to effectively and efficientlydeliver projects and outcomes according to plan. This position works withinternal and external stakeholders to bring structure while implementingcomplex projects.
About the Work Unit:
Pod 3 is an administrative group composed of highly organized, and dedicated individuals who support the faculty and staff of our Pod providing them with the many tools they need to make decisions and advance excellence in their scientific endeavors.
·Establish thescope of the work being requested by defining what the project will accomplish,in addition to the benefits, risks, costs and key stakeholder
·Createa robust work/project plan which identifies and sequences activities tosuccessfully complete a project
·Managethe project schedule and report truthfully on the progress of the project
·Facilitateplanning, implementation and stabilization activities for project initiatives
·Recommendinformation technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluatingorganization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipatingrequirements
·Coordinateand oversee all phases of the project
·Maintaina clear and open communication path with leadership
·Maintainquality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
·Workwith standard project management (Tableau, Access, SharePoint, Excel,etc) andoffice tools
·Composeand edit content for web design and maintain website through WordPress
·Workclosely with the Business Analysts and Financial Unit Managers to developand/or update the detailed project reporting requirements. Requirementsactivities may include:
·Documentingbefore and after business processes
·Reviewof existing requirements documentation
·Demonstrationof existing similar systems (bench marking); and requirement walk-through
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Information Systems Management or similar
2-3 years of experience working on and/or managing and organizing data project(s) involving the implementation of data project life cycle methodologies
Experience in accounting, database management, Tableau, Excel, and SharePoint extremely helpful, as well as web design.
Experience with Process Mapping, Flowcharts, Org Charts
Experience managing different types of projects (i.e. Infrastructure, data, accounting/forecasting outcomes, presentations, etc.)
Experience using project management andpresentation tools (i.e. Planview, MS Project, Viso, JIRA, etc.)
