Direct creative design content for assigned sports and units within 25-sport Intercollegiate Athletics Department. Work with creative director and Assistant Athletics Director for Creative and Branding to enhance brand identity for athletic department and each sport through original and creative design concepts. Additionally, this position will manage group of student creative designers.
This position works within the Gopher Digital unit and works closely with all support staff groups and coaching staffs.
60% - Manage all graphic design content for assigned sports including marketing, social media, communications and other external units’ materials. Work closely with coaching staffs to produce recruiting content for assigned sports. Provide art direction during photo shoots for various sport digital campaigns.
20% - Design of print and digital collateral for key support staff units including Golden Gopher Fund and Academics.
20% - Hiring and management of creative student workers. Strategize project workload of student workers through assignment and evaluation of work.
Salary Range: $38,000 - $42,000
BA/BS with at least 1 year of professional postgraduate experience. Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Experience creating finished graphics for print and web. Ability to work nights and weekends.
Experience working closely with an NCAA Division I athletics program or professional sports franchise.
Experience creating motion graphics with Adobe After Effects.
