Harvard's Deputy Vice Provost for Advances in Learning is looking for a Project Manager to support strategic projects that draw on rich data sets and advance the work of a team of data scientists and education specialists. The project manager will have the opportunity to shape the future of learning at Harvard and beyond. Duties & Responsibilities: Reports to the Deputy Vice Provost for Advances in Learning (VPAL) and participates in a wide range of assigned projects. Projects will vary depending on the needs of the office and may include:
Developing and maintaining implementation plans for a various committees or task forces formed to investigate a specific topic or issues, such as Harvard's role in equipping individuals for the future of work and how Harvard can collaborate with other higher education institutions and partners in the K-12 space.
Conducting research and analysis, and preparing presentations, talking points, memos, and reports.
Coordinating regularly within VPAL and with groups outside of VPAL to achieve project objectives.
Collaborates with VPAL leadership to advance project goals by helping clarify scope, schedule, and deliverables, and to anticipate needs. Duties include preparing agendas and briefing materials, producing meeting notes, drafting reports, and tracking and completing meeting action items. Responsibilities include a broad and varied scope from managing day-to-day logistics to strategic planning. Manages all project details in keeping with overall objectives. Fosters strong working relationships throughout and beyond VPAL, working collaboratively to maximize communication, transparency, and commitment to achieve project objectives.
This is a one year TERM position.
Please note: This is an 80% position and a one-year term with possibility of renewal based on business needs and continued funding.

Candidates MUST meet the following basic qualifications in order to be considered for this role:
B.A. and a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience. Advanced degree may count towards years of experience.
Master's degree preferred. Demonstrated ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, in a fast-paced, complex work environment, with a diverse population of administrators and faculty. Excellent interpersonal skills, and verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to coordinate and lead meetings with senior administrators. Willingness and ability to undertake tasks from clerical work to strategic planning and everything in between.
Proven track record in building consensus among various constituencies. Ability to work independently; ability to establish goals, set priorities and carry out project implementation tasks with limited direction. Excellent organizational, project management, and creative problem-solving skills. Strong commitment to teamwork.
