The Multimedia Coordinator will creatively showcase the Libraries’ diverse and vibrant character in photographs and video across web and social media channels.
Provide leadership and guidance for digital storytelling, supporting the Libraries' communication and marketing goals and strategies with digitized photography and video production. In collaboration with other members of the marketing and communications team, work with Libraries clients to implement visual and audio applications that promote the Libraries in ways that successfully reach target audiences. Plan and coordinate the master production schedule for the Libraries to ensure timely delivery of digital assets. Proactively coordinate, plan, shoot (field and studio), edit, and deliver completed videos and photos on behalf of the Libraries. Conduct quality control and manage production workflow; ensure adherence with University Visual Identity System. Oversee videography, photography, and audio equipment needs. Research emerging trends in design, share best practices, facilitate critique among student employees in videography photography. Train and supervise student assistants as needed. Serve on cross functional campus and Libraries teams; participate in professional growth activities. Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, and two (2) years of photography/videography experience.
Previous experience in higher education; supervisory experience; proficient in Adobe Creative Suite software, Premiere and/or Final Cut Pro; and marketing or advertising experience.
