Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Senior Program Coordinator Supervisor for The School of Social Work. The Senior Program Coordinator Supervisor is responsible for, among other duties: overseeing the logistical support for all learning events, including trainings, conferences and community meetings. This position coordinates the administrative support and processes related to site operations, site support, learning management updates, and production of learning materials.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Supervises the administrative support assigned to three training sites.
Interfaces with external stakeholders, vendors, organizational leadership, and other program team members to identify learning and logistics goals.
Oversees logistics including space, material and learning management system preparation, coordinate needs assessment and evaluation activities; and interface with learners, instructors, and vendors to ensure effective delivery.
Supports the development and oversees the implementation of processes and procedures for learning events hosted by NJCSI.
Collaborates with organizational leadership to monitor project challenges, needs and accomplishments.
Provides technical, administrative, and logistical support to the program team and stakeholders.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
A minimum of two years related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent written and oral communication
Ability to solve-problems, build relationships with persons at all levels of human service
Awareness of cultural diversity and its impact on planning and provision of services, knowledge of community organization and collaboration building
Problem solving skills, good organizational abilities, motivation and flexibility essential.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, Excel, Access) or comparable products
Ability to work with a great deal of independence and discretion and to keep sensitive matters confidential
Ability to handle a wide variety of tasks simultaneously and maintain calm under pressure
Sustained attention to detail while maintaining awareness of important priorities
Use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands; a valid driver's license would be required for this position
Work requires some evening and weekends
Experience in coordinating large scale training or education projects.
Must have working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office software programs.
Strong capability of working autonomously to coordinate and provide effective decision making to meet project needs.
Desktop and laptop computers
MS Office software: word processing, database, project management, and spreadsheet applications
Expected to use and be familiar with copier machines, fax, and other office equipment
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Hours may need to be flexible to allow for evening and weekend work in training, conferences or related activities
General office environment with light lifting.
