The Senior Career Advisor serves the undergraduate and graduate student population for the Boston campus.Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Director of CPCD Boston to design and implement annual strategic plan for delivering career services to the Boston campus programs. Administer implementation of departmental strategies for the CPCD Boston career advisor team Prioritize annual goals based on assessments and evaluations of previous services and events, and student requests Advise students regarding career development, graduation, and employment strategy Present educational workshops on fundamental career development topics in classroom, panel, guest speaker, and student organization formats Create workshops to meet professional development and learning outcomes in partnership with faculty Serve as CPCD liaison for assigned academic programs in Boston to foster partnerships with faculty and staff Establish ongoing information exchange to support student referrals between academic programs and the CPCD. Assist students with connecting experiences in and out of the classroom with their career aspirations Contribute to the department?s data collection efforts following policies and protocols, and preparation of departmental and university reports Responsible for annual assessments Serve as CPCD liaison for committees and programs with other University departments Coordinate campus alumni engagement efforts with the Senior Alumni Engagement Associate; supports deans/faculty with recruitment of alumni as campus guests and mentors Create the CPCD Boston communications strategy with the Digital Engagement and Communications Coordinator to maximize messaging, branding, and visibility Assist with the enhancement and ongoing maintenance of the CPCD Blackboard site, reference and instructional materials, and Cardinal Link CRM system Maintain working knowledge of assigned employment markets through employer and alumni interviews and industry resources; report trends and changes to CPCD and relevant academic programs; and identify internship opportunities Participate in annual University events (Orientation, Open Houses, Resource Fairs, academic ceremonies) and University Advancement events as needed Assist with managing departmental electronic communication Participate in retreats and professional development As needed, available to work some evening and weekendsAdditional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.Qualifications:Required: Master?s degree Three years of experience in career advising or coaching on a college campus Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver energetic and engaging presentations Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Ability to follow procedures and protocol establish by supervisor.
