Provide support to the Process Development (PD) laboratory to ensure that Brammer Bio provides clients with new production methods and investigational gene therapy vectors for pre-clinical use. This Senior Scientist will serve as subject matter expert of the assay, with the following responsibilities: designing and developing project-specific assays using experience with virology and gene therapy vector products to be executed by analysts, technicians, and scientists; establishing parameters for assays; assisting in transfer to QC/GMP and qualification based on ICH guidelines; critically evaluating the results and troubleshooting as necessary to ensure the robustness of assay prior to transfer to QC; reviewing reports, performing tend analysis of the data, preparing the data for presentation and preparing summary reports. Will also serve as Project Lead on at least on one project. In this role, the Senior Scientist will work with client and Project Manager to develop project-specific assays in a timely manner and oversee technicians/scientists in the training and performance of the assays.
Must have Master’s degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, or closely related life science field and 3 years of lab experience with process development and quality control, and high-throughput technologies for analytical and cell-based assays. Experience must include the following: working with BSL-1 and BSL-2 organisms, adenovirus-associated virus, lentivirus gene therapy vectors and oncolytic vectors; performing infectious titer assays, qPCR and ELISA-based assays; performing cell-line development and single-cell cloning. We will also accept a BS and 5 years of experience.
