POSITION: Assistant Professor of Music Business/Technology and Director of Music Business Program, Full-Time Temporary faculty position beginning August 2019.
Teach and coordinate undergraduate courses in the Music Business Concentration in the Bachelor of Music degree program. Applicable subject areas can include music business, artist management, entrepreneurship, digital distribution, technology, audio electronics, recording, promotion/marketing, licensing, and publishing. Additional responsibilities will include student advising, administrative duties, and curricular development.
Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to relate well to a diverse group of students and faculty at the university level are both essential. A commitment to outreach and student recruitment, and versatility to help meet needs within the department based on applicant's strengths is anticipated. An ongoing record of professional activity on and off campus in addition to recruiting and committee work is expected.
