The Research Grant Program Officer (Research Administrator 2) performs a range of duties to support the development, implementation, and management of mental health services and policy research projects being conducted by the Behavioral Health Center of Excellence (BHCOE). Oversees and coordinates research projects, including project development, planning and evaluation, grant/contract application and award management, and synthesis and dissemination of research findings. Engages in supervised research activities to meet project goals and timelines, data collection and analysis, and report writing and editing.REQUIRED--Experience in financial analysis, forecasting and analyzing and compiling financial data and reports--Analytical, problem-solving and decision making skills \--Knowledge of accounting principles and techniques --Excellent communication and interpersonal skills --Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, database software applications; financial, payroll and personnel systems, and content management systems--Project management experience--Knowledge of rules and regulations of extramural funding, accounting principles and practices, financial planning and analysis, and budget development for research proposal generation--Experience effectively writing reports, grant proposals, and briefing documents--Experience producing marketing materials and conducting marketing researchPREFERRED--Experience in research administration in an academic setting--Knowledge of how to review research proposals and perform pre/post award management--Knowledge of research methodologies used in mental health research, and knowledge of the Mental Health Services ActSPECIAL REQUIREMENT - THIS POSITION MAY BE SUBJECT TO A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION, DRUG SCREEN, LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING, MEDICAL EVALUATION CLEARANCE, AND FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY ASSESSMENT
