The Flint Center for Health Equity Solutions ("The Center") is seeking a full-time Coordinator of Media Projects to oversee planning, production, budgeting, and other functions of creating a multimedia strategic plan and creating quality content. The Coordinator of Media Projects will work collaboratively with all Center components, as well as Division of Public Health staff, to write, film, and produce content especially visual and cinematic. The individual who fills this position will ensure the successful completion of Center film and other visual products. The Center is creating a set of multimedia products to display the work of both internal and external partners. The ideal candidate will leverage existing tools and seek additional resources to create Center material for distribution. The ideal candidate will lead projects and complete other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and excel in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will develop project goals and objectives, assist with project plans, coordinate and implement high impact projects, conduct research and data analysis, prepare reports, and design presentations.
Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which would normally be acquired in a four year college degree; three to five years of related and progressively more expansive work experience in a field related to the position including planning and managing projects; communications content management (written, verbal, digital) experience with word processing, database, spreadsheet, presentation, calendaring software, desktop publishing and/or project management software; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Extensive portfolio of exhibits, installations, and nationally recognized work; Ability to create computerized animations; Audio engineering skills; Experienced documentary film maker; Graduate degree; More than eight years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in creative and technical functions in production with exposure to marketing, accounting, management, advertising, and promotion; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
