This position is primarily responsible for fundraising and event management of two to three Distinguished Events within the Distinguished Events portfolio. In collaboration with the Distinguished Events Director and Distinguished Events Coordinator, this position will identify and engage event Board of Ambassadors and corporate sponsorships along with year-round cultivation and stewardship of Distinguished Event contributors, including high net worth individuals and/or corporate executives. Responsibilities also include working with Foundation and Business Partners to execute fundraising plan, communications, entertainment, décor and auction, VIP event, volunteers, and follow/up stewardship plans for the events.
•Major gift andannual giving campaigns.
•Corporate and event sponsorships.
•MS Office, Excel and Raiser's Edge and Convio Luminate Online a plus.
•Work occasional evenings and weekends.
•Travel as necessary,approximately 8 trips per year.
•Be self-motivated, results oriented and demonstrate strong organizational and project management skills.
•Communicate effectively, both written and oral.
•Demonstrate proven negotiation skills.
•Take direction and input to develop effective and engaging branded events that achieve the business goals.
•Influence and coordinate the efforts of other team members.
•Applicable skills in strategic planning and budgeting, volunteer development and supervision.
Education and/or Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree preferably in marketing, communications or non-profit management. Upon evaluation, equivalent experience and/or education related to the minimum may be substituted for the degree.
•Three years’ experience in not-for-profit fundraising, preferably within a health-related organization.
•Three years events management experience to include corporate/foundation giving, donor cultivation and recognition, donor records and acknowledgement.
•Demonstrated track record of successful fundraising experience that includes special events.
•Valid driver’s license required.
