The Project Coordinator reports to the Director of the ArtLab and provides administrative support to the Director and Technical and Production Specialist.
She/he will coordinate complex schedules for two arts production spaces serving Harvard faculty, students and visiting artists. The Harvard ArtLab is located on Harvard's Allston campus and the Annex is located on Harvard's Cambridge campus. Both the ArtLab and the Annex are designed to be flexible and accommodate different artistic practices and disciplines. This position will support the coordination of programming in both sites.
She/ he will participate in a wide range of projects identified by the Director including coordinating studio building activities including exhibitions, workshops and studios. Coordinate public programming and events including audio/video, reception planning and general visitor service support.
The Project Coordinator will also provide high-level administrative support including: managing calendars, planning, scheduling and booking travel, maintaining filing systems and databased; and processing invoices and expense reports.

Candidates MUST meet the following basic qualifications in order to be considered for this role:
3-5 years of progressive administrative, arts or project coordination experience. Education beyond high school may be applied to years of experience.
Bachelor's Degree is strongly preferred. Previous administrative and project management experience in the arts highly preferred. Experience in a coordination role in a gallery or performing arts venue; Experience with coordination of public programming and related events and general visitor service support.
Proven ability to work independently, establish goals, set priorities and carry out project tasks with limited direction. Excellent organizational and creative problem-solving skills. Proven ability to work collaboratively and be an effective team player. Excellent interpersonal skills, and verbal and written communication skills essential. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Extensive experience using MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, complex work environment, using excellent judgment and discretion, with a diverse population of administrators and faculty. Knowledge of the arts strongly preferred.
This is a 2-year term position with the possibility of renewal.
